First Dallas Floodway Project for the large flood protection program for the citizens of Dallas.
Scope included demolition and removal of specified segments of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe (AT&SF) Historical Railroad Bridge located in the vicinity of the Santa Fe Trestle Trail and Moore Park, Dallas, TX.
Demolished three sections (Wood Trestle, Steel and Concrete) located at both left and right bank sides of the Trinity River in the floodway only feet from the elevated DART Railway. Demolished materials 85% recycled.
Project required Abatement of Regulated Asbestos Containing Material (RACM) on parts of the Bridges, then demolition/removal of the specified bridge segments, while maintaining Santa Fe Trestle Trail features.
Completed three months early!
